Our family is not what most people envision when they think "family." But the world is changing and ours isn't as unique as it once was. With two mothers and one child, our life is actually not that different from others. We have a lot of the same triumphs and struggles, the same kinds of fun and sorrows.
I am often asked questions about "what is it like" and I never know where to start. "It's like yours," I say. "My wife and I love each other and, for the most part, get along fine. Sometimes we disagree. Sometimes we argue. Sometimes our son is an angel. Sometimes we wonder if he hit his head and is acting that way because of brain damage."
My hope with this blog is to show what our family is like and, hopefully, show that it's not so different from any other family. We're more alike than you'd think.
Everyone, including myself, will remain anonymous. The world is a harsh place and I don't need my special needs child or my family being attacked by mean people of the interwebz.
