Me: I grew up in the 90s and still have a soft spot for The Spice Girls and N*Sync. That's about all you'll get about my age, it's a sensitive subject for me :-P. I am a musician and love Star Trek but am not a fan of sci-fi. My favourite colour has always been pink and for this reason our bank account is glad we have a son and not a daughter. My favourite Disney movie is The Lion King, followed by Mary Poppins, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast. I'm forever a kid at heart.
My Wife: She is about my same age and comes from a land far away. She has not been in this country for long and even though her country isn't too different from ours, it is different enough that she is still adjusting. She is my sanity when I start to go a little bonkers and my partner in crime: we both like to sneak in late snacks after the kid is in bed just to avoid sharing. She is also loves Star Trek making us one happy Trekkie family. No, we won't dress up in costumes.
Her current favourite colour is pink but it used to be purple. This is important only because pink was my favourite colour first! She is the "domestic" of us two, she does the cooking and cleaning and the such because she's just so much better at it than me. She's the adult of us two.
Our son and I agree she gives the best hugs.
The Boy: Our son is a mostly happy fourth grader. He is special and on the spectrum so some things are difficult for him. We are lucky, he is verbal, but we have not gotten a complete picture of how special he actually is. He loves legos and his current favourite movie is Big Hero 6. He also loves Star Trek making him the perfect fit for us. Currently interests revolve around Legos, dinosaurs and archaeology. His favourite food is pizza and I'm a terrible mother because I'm not sure if his favourite colour is blue or red. But it is definitely one of those. I think.
